WHAT ARE MORHEUS8 AND MORPHEUS BODY?

In the past, if you wanted to get any skin tightening, your best option was a surgical procedure like a neck or facelift. Not anymore with today’s available options! Morpheus8 is a noninvasive, nonsurgical skin rejuvenation and remodeling procedure that is suitable for all skin types and tones. Treatment can be performed on any area of the body and for a wide range of skin concerns with generally minimal downtime.

Morpheus8 and Morpheus Body technology uses a combination of microneedling and radiofrequency fractional technology that stimulates collagen and elastin, the key building blocks of glowing and youthful skin. Morpheus8 targets the deeper layers of the skin with controlled thermal energy using a matrix of micro-pins. It is a groundbreaking treatment that has numerous benefits.

Morpheus8 and Morpheus Body do not require downtime, but you will experience some side effects as the skin heals. Redness and irritation typically last about a week after each treatment. You should wait several days before applying makeup on the treated area and take care to avoid sun exposure as your skin heals. It is also important to keep the skin well-moisturized throughout the healing process after the first 24 hrs. You will begin to see improvements in your skin within just a few days, but results will continue to develop as the skin produces new, natural collagen. Most patients see their best results about 3 months after their final treatment session.

To prepare for Morpheus8 and Morpheus Body treatments, one week prior to your appointment:

  • Stop taking NSAID medicines like Aspirin and ibuprofen.
  • Discontinue any irritant type of topical products, treatments, or anything perceived as active skin care.
  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure and discontinue using tanning beds.

On the day of treatment:

  • Treated area will be cleaned thoroughly.
  • Topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.

What can be expected during and after treatment?

  • Immediately after your treatment, you will notice mild redness and swelling on treated area.
  • You may experience a feeling of warmth and tightening of the area that can last 3 - 4 days.
  • You may develop mild crusting and peeling 3 - 7 days after treatment.

24 hours after treatment:

  • CLEAN – Use a gentle, mild cleanser when treating face and neck or body wash on the treated area.
  • HYDRATE – Use a gentle moisturizer or healing ointment on the treatment area until skin heals.
  • MAKEUP – Wait to apply makeup for 48 - 72 hours after the treatment.
  • PROTECT – Apply a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with an SPF of 30 and up every 3 - 4 hours during the day.
