Non-surgical procedure that improves overall vascular function and nerve sensitivity, resulting in improved sexual performance and pleasure.

erecta-Shot(E-Shot)

The Erecta- Shot commonly known as the P-Shot® (trademark owned by Dr. Charles Runels) is an injection of Platelet-rich Plasma (PrP) into the Penis. The Erecta-Shot is used to improve erectile function. It is a non-surgical procedure that improves overall vascular function and nerve sensitivity in the penis, resulting in improved sexual performance and pleasure.

What is the E-Shot(PRP)?

The Erecta-Shot (E-Shot), a Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection (PRP), is a patented, quick, and effective non-surgical procedure named after Priapus, the Greek God of male sexual rejuvenation and fertility. It is a treatment for erectile dysfunction that aids in healthy tissue growth by natural means!

Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects quality of life and can cause a decline in a satisfying sex life. Narrowing blood vessels is often one of the causes of erectile dysfunction. The P-Shot can restore sexual function through penile injections of blood platelets leading to increased size of erection, more natural erections, and firmer erections, all without undergoing a dangerous or surgical procedure. This natural treatment aids in tissue regrowth and combats the effects of scar tissue formation within erectile tissue.

The Erecta Shot Procedure

How does this natural treatment work to aid in tissue regrowth? The entire outpatient procedure is swift and uncomplicated and the patient can drive themselves home afterward and resume a healthy sex life hours after the procedure.

The procedure begins with the patient’s own healthy blood being drawn. The blood sample is run through a centrifuge to extract platelet-rich plasma, which will then be injected into the shaft of the patient’s penis. The penis is numbed with cream and then with a local anesthetic to completely numb the surrounding area. The plasma extracted through the centrifuge is full of growth factors and proteins that stimulate stem cells. These stem cells cause healthy tissue to grow, bringing healing and an increase in size and healthy function.

Platelet-rich plasma is widely used for its restorative and corrective properties in the beauty and health industry. The nutrients present in the plasma increase collagen production and can be used in hair regrowth as well as the female version of the E-Shot known as the O-shot® (trademark owned by Dr. Charles Runels)

The Benefits of the E-Shot Treatment

The growth factors in platelet-rich plasma are known to improve vascular health, vitality, and the length and girth of the penis itself. For damaged tissue, the injection provides the nutrients and proteins needed for regenerative growth and cellular restoration through increased blood flow, nerve sensation, higher libido, and higher sensitivity in the penis. Improvement in endothelial cells lining the blood vessels in the penis can increase blood flow to the area. Because the patient’s blood is used in the treatment, there is very little risk of infection or contamination through this sterile procedure.

Who is the Erecta Shot For?

The E-Shot procedure is for men struggling with the quality of their sex life, painful or difficult erections, or those who wish to increase the girth and length of their penis. Other issues the E-Shot can be beneficial for include loss of sensation, scar tissue due to Peyronie’s disease, or difficulties caused by side effects of medication, illness, or surgery.

Is the Procedure Painful?

Because this procedure is non-surgical and a topical anesthetic is applied, there is very little to no pain involved in the injections. There could be some tenderness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites but these usually do not last more than a few days. If there is swelling, it is recommended to wait until it subsides before engaging in intercourse.

What is Peyronie's Disease?

Peyronie’s disease is caused by fibrous scar tissue forming inside the penis. This is called plaque, and deposits of plaque can cause painful erections that are curved and interfere with penile function. This scar tissue can develop in response to repeated injury during athletic activity, sex, or even genetic makeup.

The disease can present with symptoms suddenly or over some time. Symptoms include difficulty in getting or maintaining an erection, as well as anxiety and stress associated with these effects. Other symptoms include penis shortening, pain during an erection, or a bend in the penis. Thankfully, these symptoms often improve with treatment.

Without treatment, Peyronie’s typically does not go away on its own, and it can worsen over time. Although the pain may decrease over a period of one to two years, the bend and shortened length of the penis often remain. Treatment is recommended early on to prevent increased degeneration and to restore and improve erections.

What causes Peyronie’s Disease?

Peyronie’s disease isn’t completely understood. Though often caused by injury due to scar tissue buildup; other risk factors include age, connective tissue disorders, and genetic disorders. Regardless of the cause, the effect is the same. Scar tissue that has formed inside the penis cannot expand and fill with blood during an erection. This creates a bend in the penis that can cause painful erections and interfere with normal sexual intimacy.

Traditional Peyronie’s Treatment Versus the P-Shot®

There are two phases of Peyronie’s disease based on how long symptoms have been present. Each phase has different recommendations for treatment. In the acute phase, symptoms have been present for a few weeks to a year. Traditional recommendations during this time include traction therapy using a mechanical device applied to the penis to stretch the penis and attempt to restore length and reduce deformity. Medications may also be recommended during this time.

During the chronic phase, symptoms have been present for 3 months to a year. In these cases, surgery is often the traditional recommendation. Techniques include plicating (or suturing) the side of the penis that is longer during an erection. Surgery could also be used to remove scar tissue and graft healthy tissue to replace it.

The E-Shot is an ageless solution for restoring reliable function and a satisfying sex life. In contrast to a traditional treatment protocol, the use of platelet-rich plasma is non-invasive and without the side effects of medication or the discomfort of wearing a mechanical traction device.
