WHAT IS SMOOTHBEAM?
At Wellmedica we provideSmoothbeam Acne Therapy for Acne and Scars.Smoothbeam isa procedure used to reduce the appearance of acne, acne scarring and wrinkles on the faceand back. Smoothbeam uses a laser that works by targeting and heating the collagen andsebaceous glands in the dermis (layer of skin under the epidermis) while protecting theepidermis (the outermost layer of skin).
Smoothbeam helps to stimulate the body’s naturalcollagen-building process. It is considered a multi-effect non-ablative treatment since it does notburn, cut or remove the skin.Smoothbeam is an FDA-cleared diode laser that treats active acne, scars, and wrinkles. Thelaser bypasses the outer layer of skin to stimulatecollagenproduction by heating the tissueunderneath. In addition,Smoothbeam also has a built-in cooling system, so you won’t feelany heat sensation.

WHAT TECHNOLOGY IS USED?
Smoothbeam Laser is an advanced diode non-invasive laser treatment for acne, acne scars, and fine lines. The laser uses a combination of skin heating and cooling to selectively heat the middle layer of the skin. By heating the middle layer (dermis) it is possible to gently treat a variety of skin problems. Smoothbeam Acne Therapy – A Laser Treatment has a low chance of side effects. The most common side effect is mild redness in spots lasting about a few hours. Rare side effects can include blistering or color changes. Scarring is extremely rare, but possible with any treatment of the skin. Even though the laser is cutting-edge technology, there is a chance it may not sufficiently treat your skin problem.
