VTONE
Overcome urinary incontinence and improve your sexual function with VTone at WellMedica, serving patients in the Reston, Virginia; Maryland; and Washington, DC area.
WHAT IS VTONE?
Over time, the stresses of pregnancy, childbirth, hormone fluctuation, and aging can result in weakened pelvic floor muscles. These weakened muscles can also result in mixed, stress, or urge urinary incontinence and a decrease in sexual sensation and satisfaction. VTone treatments address these issues to restore self-confidence and quality of life without any prolonged downtime or surgery.
HOW DOES VTONE WORK?
VTone, on the EmpowerRF platform by InMode, is a highly effective and non-invasive treatment that helps to tone and train muscles of the pelvic floor. It uses both electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and neuromuscular re-education in women.
IS VTONE RIGHT FOR ME?
You may be a good candidate for VTone treatments if you experience:
- Decreased sexual sensation and satisfaction.
- Urinary incontinence.
- Loss of pelvic muscle tone post-childbirth.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT BEFORE AND AFTER VTONE TREATMENT?
Most patients will require 6 - 8 VTone treatment sessions spaced 1 week apart to achieve their goals. Vaginal weakness may return as with any muscle, so we recommend a single maintenance treatment every 4 - 6 months. VTone can be combined with other vaginal rejuvenation procedures at the same time if they are needed to achieve desired results.
Before VTone Treatment
Not much is required of patients before treatment. However, we ask that the treated area is clean and well-shaved at least 1 day prior to any treatment.
During VTone Treatment
A single-use electro-stimulator, about the size of a tampon, is placed into the vaginal canal to trigger and induce a cascade of deep and firm involuntary muscle contractions that are not possible to achieve through exercise alone. Most women experience a tingling sensation along with the muscle contractions induced by VTone. Treatments typically take an average of 30 - 40 minutes and are recommended weekly to achieve desired results.
After VTone Treatment
There is often little or no downtime required after VTone treatments. Patients should be able to immediately return to regular daily activities, including work.
WHAT IS THE COST OF VTONE?
The cost of VTone treatment starts at $500 but can vary depending on the number of sessions required to achieve desired results. There are a variety of factors that will determine the overall price. To ensure that your VTone procedure is affordable, we accept a variety of payment methods including special financing plans.
IS VTONE SAFE?
VTone is an FDA- approved technology proven safe to effectively strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and improve urinary incontinence symptoms. There are no negative side effects reported with VTone, but it does have contraindications for patients that have an electrical implant or device in the body.
