WHAT IS THERMIDRY?
If you are looking for a way to treat excessive sweating without the use of neurotoxins or surgery, then ThermiDry is your best option. It is an effective, nonsurgical, minimally invasive treatment to eliminate excessive sweating. Perspiration is the mechanism that your internal thermostat uses to regulate your body temperature. The moisture that forms under the arms evaporates and cools your skin. It happens any time your temperature is raised, whether by heat, activity, or by being nervous. Those with hyperhidrosis often suffer from overactive sweat glands, regardless of external circumstance or activity.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY IS USED FOR THERMIDRY?
ThermiDry uses is a micro-invasive, temperature-controlled radiofrequency energy underneath the skin to directly target axillary glands.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER THERIDRY TREATMENT?
Dr. Dima Ali may use a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout treatment, as the tiny ThermiDry probe is inserted underneath the skin and moved to the sweat glands. The area is then heated with radiofrequency energy to block the nerves that disable the sweat glands. To guide the procedure and ensure skin safety, thermal image guidance is used during the procedure.
After treatment, there is little to no downtime and patients are typically able to resume their daily activities. Scarring does not typically occur after treatment, even though a small incision is made for the insertion of the ThermiDry probe. The results from ThermiDry are effective immediately, as the sweat glands are instantly disabled. Follow up appointments are generally scheduled at 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year.
