WHAT IS A LIQUID FACELIFT?
If you are not ready for a surgical facelift, a liquid facelift may be a nonsurgical alternative. A liquid facelift is when dermal fillers are used to lift sagging skin and reduce wrinkles. Depending on the filler and the condition of your skin, a liquid facelift can last up to 5 or more. Not everyone is a candidate for a liquid facelift. During a consultation, Dr. Dima can assess whether you may be a candidate.
Liquid facelifts can also be combined with other rejuvenation procedures (such as thread lifting, Botox, laser, or radiofrequency) for a natural look.

What is Used During a Liquid Facelift?
At WellMedica we have a variety of fillers to choose from. Some are hyaluronic acid based and some are potent collagen stimulators such as Bellafill and Sculptra.
During your consultation with Dr. Dima she will determine which filler will be right for you. She will also explain why a combination of different fillers will give you the best, most aesthetically natural result.
Is a Liquid Facelift Right for Me?
How many Treatments Will I Need?
Most often the treatment can be done in one appointment with a follow up at approximately one week. During that follow up appointment, much of the swelling will have subsided and Dr. Dima will determine if any “touch ups” need to be done.
If a long-lasting filler such a Bellafill or Sculptra is used, there may be multiple follow ups to assess the degree of correction as these potent collagen stimulators needs more time to take full effect.
How Much Does a Liquid Facelift Cost?
This depends on which filler(s) you and Dr. Dima decide to use and the amount of filler. Depending on the filler and its effective duration, a single syringe of filler (or vial) can range anywhere from $750 to $1300 each. Using a minimum of 8 syringes is not unusual. In fact, Dr. Dima has used up to 30 syringes of various fillers in one sitting to achieve the desired result. Each patient’s needs are unique, and the treatment must be customized to meet your needs and expectations. Keep in mind that a syringe of filler is only 0.8 to 1.0 ml. That is not a lot of products as you can see from the teaspoons below.
What Can I Expect Before and After Treatment?
The following are guidelines will help you prepare for a successful Liquid Facelift.
Day 1: prepare by coming to your appointment without any makeup. You will be told not to wet your face or exercise for 24 hours after treatment.
Day 2: Swelling will be prominent on Day 2 and will gradually decrease everyday thereafter. You may resume gentle cleansing and your facial routine.
Day 3: Swelling will continue to improve.
Day 4-7: continued decline in swelling and bruising.
Week 2: Starting to look great!
Week 3: There will be very little if any residual swelling
Some potential side effects include herpes outbreak, bruising, infection, hematoma formation, irregularity.
Is a Liquid Facelift Safe?
A liquid facelift can be performed on anyone with a desire for an instant lift assuming they are in overall good health, and they understand the risks and have realistic expectations. Those with an active skin infection or a chronic, uncontrolled medical condition such as diabetes, are not good candidates.
