WHAT IS A PREMIER MEDICAL FACIAL?
A medical-grade facial is when physical and chemical forms of exfoliation are utilized using medical-grade skin care products and devices like vibradermabrasion, chemical peels, microneedling, ultrasounds, LED light therapy, and even lasers. Medical facials, unlike day spa facials, do offer long-lasting results. This is because they expose the deeper layer of the skin by renewing, rejuvenating, restoring, and repairing your skin.
At Wellmedica, we offer a complimentary VISIA® Skin Analysis that will measure the porphyrins count (using UV fluorescence imaging) in addition to assessing and analyzing spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, UV spots, brown spots, and red spots on your face. Based on the VISIA® analysis, Dr. Dima Ali will recommend the type of facial your skin needs.
IS A PREMIER MEDICAL FACIAL RIGHT FOR ME?
Remember that a medical facial focuses on results rather than on relaxation. Since medical facials are highly customizable, they can effectively address a wide spectrum of skin concerns, making them appropriate for nearly everyone. WellMedica's skin care professionals will work with you to understand your specific skin needs and will recommend a customized medical facial treatment plan.
HOW MANY MEDICAL FACIALS WILL I NEED?
Our medical aestheticians generally recommend getting a medical facial once every month but fitting that into the modern woman’s schedule can sometimes be tough. Having treatments done quarterly is very beneficial, too.
HOW MUCH DOES A PREMIER MEDICAL FACIAL COST?
The cost of a premier medical facial starts at $175 per session. There are a variety of factors that determine the overall price. To ensure that your premier medical facial is affordable, we accept a variety of payment methods including special financing plans.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT BEFORE AND AFTER A PREMIER MEDICAL FACIAL TREATMENT?
It isn’t too much you need to do to prepare for a facial but there are a few things to note.
- Stop using exfoliating skin care products a day or two before your premier medical facial to reduce sensitivity.
- Avoid tanning prior to your facial appointment.
- Do not wax your facial hair at least 72 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- Ensure that your skin is hydrated and moisturized on the day of your appointment. Drink plenty of water in the days leading to your treatment.
- If you have a history of cold sores, please discuss with Dr. Dima Ali to ensure that you start your antiviral medication prior to your scheduled appointment.
After receiving your medical facial, you will immediately notice your skin looking smoother, tighter, brighter, and feeling more lifted and clearer. You may experience mild redness depending on what has been performed during your premier medical facial. It is important to remember that results are cumulative. The more consistent you are with getting facials, the better your skin will look and feel.
Things to do after a premier medical facial:
- Avoid touching your face before washing your hands or using a hand sanitizer.
- Change your pillowcase when you arrive home.
- Remember to ask about Cosminology skin care products to maintain the look and feel of your skin.
IS A PREMIER MEDICAL FACIAL SAFE?
Medical facials should be performed in medical cosmetic practice by a licensed master aesthetician who practices under the supervision of a physician. As these treatments employ medical-grade tools, they are not entirely risk-free. To avoid any unnecessary side effects, our licensed skin care professionals have extensive knowledge and a proven track record in delivering safe, effective results under the supervision of Dr. Dima Ali.
