Dysport Injections Reston Virginia Board Certified Cosmetic Laser Surgery and Wellness Center
DYSPORT® | BEFORE & AFTERS
WHAT IS DYSPORT®?
Dysport injections are used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally which allows you to freely show facial expressions such as smiling in untreated areas. Over time, the muscles above and between the eyebrows repeatedly contract and tighten, which causes wrinkles. With just 1 injection into each of the 5 points between and over the eyebrows, Dysport® injections block the signal from the nerve to the muscles; ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.
IS DYSPORT® RIGHT FOR ME?
No matter what your age is, you will be able to see the benefits from Dysport® injections. Patients with permanent frown lines or lines in between the eyebrows, crowsfeet area or even bunny lines may see them soften, and younger patients may be able to prevent them from occurring. Men and women alike can see an improvement in the appearance of their skin.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Most patients only require one treatment appointment to achieve optimal results. Your treatment appointments will include several units of this treatment injected into the skin surface at targeted areas of treatment, predominately the area between the eyebrows and wrinkles on the mid-face, such as those around the eyes, the nose, and the mouth. Dysport® treatments are recommended once every 3 or 4 months.
HOW MUCH DOES DYSPORT COST?
At WellMedica we charge by area starting at $475 and up. Pricing by area is set at what the average cost would be for the number of units needed in each area. To ensure that your Dysport procedure is affordable, we accept a variety of payment methods including special financing plans and annual discounted packages.
Beware of anyone offering either Botox® or Dysport® regularly for less than what you usually see in the area. Many providers offering Botox or Dysport® might be highly discounted because they import their product at a discount from outside the United States, making the product being used just as real as a “designer” bag but it is fake. Remember, when you are injecting a substance into your body it is not something to bargain hunt.

IS IT SAFE?
Botulinum toxin has been around for decades. Between the 1940s to 1970s, researchers began investigating its use in neurological and ophthalmological diseases. It eventually became FDA-approved for several movements and autonomic disorders including cervical dystonia (CD), hyperactive bladder, hyperhidrosis, migraine, and spasticity. For cosmetic purposes, both Botox® and Dysport® are FDA approved and considered a very safe way to rejuvenate your appearance.
